Iris Kuhnert

Graduate in Economics and Japanese Studies, M.A.

Iris Kuhnert studied Business Administration, majoring in East Asian Studies and Japanese, at the University of Applied Science, Bremen. She then went on to conduct research in Japan on the subject of Human Resource Development at BASF Japan, and at the German Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Her postgraduate studies in Media and Education were completed at the University of Rostock, where she majored in Systemic Education, Organization Development and Media Psychology.

After graduation, she worked as a marketing and communications manager at a leading Japanese cosmetics firm.

Since 1995, Ms Kuhnert has been a business and personal consultant, focusing on intercultural collaboration, international management, management development and coaching. She has numerous publications to her name on the subject of communication and intercultural competence when working with the Japanese.

With her extensive international expertise, Iris Kuhnert focuses on the following topics:

Iris Kuhnert is a certified licensee of the Intercultural Readiness Check IRC©, the Cultural Orientations Model (COM™) and Lominger’s Voices 360® - The Leadership Architect® Suite. She is a qualified “Leadership Transition Coach” and a master coach for “Valuing Diversity and Practising Inclusive Leadership”. She is an accredited coach of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is a partner in the Coach and Leadership Association of the Ken Blanchard Group and Korn/Ferry International.
She lectures at the Universities of Applied Science in Landau, Bremen and Heilbronn.
