Ernst Middendorp is one of the best-known German soccer coaches.
In the “Bundesliga” he has coached Arminia Bielefeld, VFL Bochum and KFC Uerdingen. In addition to this, he has gained a great deal of experience working abroad for top clubs such as Asante Kotoko Kumasi and Hearts of Oak Accra (both in Ghana), as well as Tractorsazy Tabriz (Iran). Up until March 2007 he was head coach of the Kaizer Chiefs, Johannesburg, South Africa’s top club.
His greatest successes have been Arminia Bielefeld’s promotions to the 2nd and then the 1st divisions of the “Bundesliga” and winning the cup in Ghana, as well as his team’s qualification for the African Confederation Cup.
Ernst Middendorp embodies the collective experience of approximately 300 top-level games in Germany and Africa. He knows the soccer scene in Europe and Africa inside and out. His in-depth knowledge extends to the World Cup participants Iran, Ghana, Togo, Tunisia, Angola and the Ivory Coast.
